From data overload to investment performance at PropTech Connect

The growing importance of trusted data in real estate investment and technology adoption was central to discussions in London.

PropTech Connect Europe brought together real estate professionals, investors and technology providers in London on 9 & 10 September 2026. Over two days, the event offered an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the technologies transforming the industry and the challenges organizations face in putting them to work.

For imoGate, one topic stood out: the ability to turn increasingly complex data into reliable information that supports investment performance.

Moving beyond data overload

Our Managing Partner Emmanuel Colson participated in the panel "Turning Data Overload into Actionable Performance for Value-Add Real Estate", alongside industry professionals representing different perspectives on investment and technology.

The discussion addressed a familiar challenge across real estate investment. Organizations manage growing volumes of information from multiple assets, service providers and systems. Yet collecting data is only part of the equation.

The real value comes from making that information consistent, accessible and actionable.

Without a trusted data foundation, teams risk spending more time reconciling information than analyzing performance. For asset owners and managers, this can limit portfolio visibility and slow down investment decisions.

Technology moves forward. Data foundations remain essential.

Another recurring theme throughout PropTech Connect was the transition of artificial intelligence from experimentation toward practical implementation.

As technology ecosystems expand and AI applications multiply, the importance of reliable data becomes even more apparent. Clear governance, shared definitions and consistent information are essential to ensuring that new technologies deliver meaningful results.

At imoGate, this is precisely the role we aim to support through SmartGate, our data management platform. By providing a trusted data layer, we help real estate organizations structure their information and make it usable across teams, applications and analytics solutions.

Ultimately, technology should reduce complexity, not introduce another layer of fragmentation.

Beyond the conference sessions, PropTech Connect was a valuable opportunity to connect with clients, partners and industry peers from across Europe. The event highlighted the importance of exchanging perspectives and building relationships in an evolving real estate technology ecosystem.
